The Gatley Village Partnership is just one of many Partnerships set up across Stockport to encourage involvement of the local community groups and the local community. Meeting quarterly community issues are discussed with attendence of the local police, local Councillors and key members of the community and occasionally of the council. Membership is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
Barry is to part use his shop as a Manchester United gift shop.

The Localism Bill and what that might mean to the Village Partnership, Community Groups and Gatley as a whole. The Bill goes through Parliament in April.
The progress of the clock and the enthusiasm of all concerned in its significant progress.
The next meeting of the Gatley Village Partnership is on Tuesday 28th June at St James Church Hall. All welcome. Guest on the night will be Paul Lawrence, Service Director Regeneration, at Stockport Council. He will be giving us an update on the Tatton Cinema site.
At the meeting on the 8th February the attendees did a short session on the village - looking at positive and negative attributes. Additional feedback since the meeting is a Village Clean Up Day, improving the pavements and signage.
